Bluesign focuses on eliminating harmful substances such as toxic chemicals, dyes, solvents, heavy metals, etc. from the manufacturing process and ensuring that products are safe for consumers and the environment. Known as the bluesign “criteria”, these are the highest standards in the industry.

Items that carry a bluesign “product” or “approved” label have been manufactured to strict safety and environmental requirements.

The Higg Index is a suite of tools that assess and measure the social and environmental performance of the value chain and the environmental impacts of products. Currently the most widely used standardized measurement framework within the apparel industry, it provides insights into a brand’s environmental impact (e.g., water usage, carbon footprint) and worker welfare throughout the supply chain. 

Brands that use the Higg Index are actively measuring its environmental and social impacts, and working towards improving more sustainable practices. 

Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a certification for products made with recycled materials, ensuring the traceability and responsible production of these materials. The GRS aims to reduce the harmful impact of production on people and the environment, provides assurance that products are processed in a more climate-friendly way, and encourages higher proportions of recycled content in products.

When a brand is GRS certified, it means that their products meet strict criteria for being made from recycled content, which are tracked and verified throughout the production process.

OEKO-TEX® is globally recognized and certifies that textiles and materials are free from harmful chemicals and are safe for human use, allowing everyone to make responsible decisions and protect natural resources. This certification protects against exposure to toxic chemicals such as heavy metals, formaldehyde, pesticides, chlorinated phenols, and carcinogenic or allergenic dyes. Additionally, it ensures that materials do not contain harmful plasticizers like phthalates or substances that may disrupt the endocrine system.

By certifying that textiles meet strict health and environmental safety standards, OEKO-TEX® safeguards consumers from skin irritants, allergens, and toxic residues while promoting responsible manufacturing practices that conserve natural resources. 

World Responsible Accredited Production® (WRAP) is a certification that ensures manufacturing facilities follow ethical practices, such as fair wages, safe working conditions, and labour rights. Every WRAP-certified facility has undergone an intensive social compliance audit verifying it abides by their 12 Principles, which are based on local laws and internationally recognized standards.

A brand who manufactures their items in a WRAP-certified facility demonstrates their commitment to ethical production and responsible supply chain practices.
