a step by step guide
From lightweight rain protection to heavy weight cold protection, our jackets are designed thoughtfully and made to last. But even then, you have to show some love by giving your jacket the proper care and storage for it to last longer and perform better.
Here’s how:
Our Re:Down® Puffer Jackets are crafted with 700FP down and are 100% recycled Re:Down®. For a garment as complex as the puffer jacket, it’s important we take good care of it the best we can. (Spoiler alert: it’s actually pretty simple.)
WASH: Zip up jackets to prepare. If the jacket has a removable hood, remove the hood from the jacket and put in the washer. If you have a microfibre wash bag, please place the jacket inside of it. We suggest this one! Cold wash, gentle cycle. Wash with like colours.
DRY: Remove from the washer, shake and put into the dryer. Dry, medium heat for 30 min or until the jacket is dry. *Drying a jacket with DWR in a dryer helps reactivate the water-repellent coating. The heat redistributes and re-bonds the DWR chemicals to the fabric, restoring its ability to repel water. Over time, the coating can degrade, and the dryer heat helps restore the "beading" effect. Just make sure the jacket can tolerate heat based on its care instructions.
STAINS & CREASES: Spot clean with gentle soap, a damp cloth. Because of the DWR coating, stains usually come off quite easily!
STORE: In the summertime, it is best to fold in and store your down jackets in a dry cooler space, whether it is hung up or folded in a container. If you’re needing space, you can vacuum seal the puffers. When you're ready to wear them again, remove from the vacuum sealed bag, shake them out and hang them- they will puff back up within 24 hours and the wrinkles will begin to fall out.
Our 3L jacket is fully seam-sealed and waterproof with 100% recycled fabric. While it does its best to protect us from the rain, let’s do our part in protecting it from stains and creases.

STORE: In the summertime, keep our Waterproof Rain Jackets hung up, you never know when you may need a jacket on a breezer summer night. If you are storing it, it is best to fold in and store your rain jackets in a dry cooler space, whether it is hung up or folded in a container. If it is folded in a container and you’re ready to be reunited, give it a shake and the wrinkles will fall out in 1-2 days. Otherwise a light steam always does the trick!
