Adhere To was born from a deep commitment to sustainability and a passion for designing high-performance, gender-neutral outerwear that doesn’t compromise on style or function. Based out of Vancouver, Alexandra Dean founded the brand in 2022.

Our mission is simple: to lead the way in creating outerwear that’s not only innovative but also responsible—where every stitch reflects our dedication to the planet and its people.

A New Era for Outerwear

In a world where fashion often comes at the cost of the environment, Adhere To is proud to stand as a beacon of change. With a sharp focus on sustainability, we set out to create a brand that seamlessly blends cutting-edge performance, advanced construction, and ethical manufacturing. From the beginning, our goal has been to craft outerwear that goes beyond trends and supports a lifestyle of conscious living.

Our outerwear is made from 100% recycled premium materials that have been certified for both quality and sustainability. We prioritize a low-carbon supply chain and maintain strict standards for ethical manufacturing in Vietnam, ensuring the safety, rights, and fair wages of the workers who help bring our designs to life. Every part of our process is traceable, from our responsibly sourced fabrics to our eco-friendly packaging and shipping practices.

Designed with Purpose

At Adhere To, we don’t just design outerwear—we design solutions. Our garments are built to perform in the most demanding conditions while offering a contemporary, gender-neutral aesthetic that transcends traditional fashion boundaries. Each piece is engineered with attention to detail, comfort, and durability, ensuring that you never have to sacrifice quality for sustainability.

We believe in functionality, performance, and impact. Whether you’re facing harsh weather, commuting in the city, or enjoying the outdoors, our outerwear is designed to meet the needs of real life while minimizing environmental impact.

A Holistic Approach

Our journey is rooted in a holistic approach that prioritizes both people and the planet. The goal is not just to be a brand—but to create a movement. A movement that redefines what outerwear can be, challenging the industry to think differently and act sustainably. Through our work, we aim to set a new standard in fashion that respects nature, values ethics, and embraces innovation.

Adhere to the New Standard

As the founder of Adhere To, I, Alexandra Dean, am proud to lead this change. With years of experience in sustainable design and a deep love for the outdoors, I created Adhere To to offer a solution that empowers you to make more conscious choices without compromising on performance or style. We’re committed to leading the charge toward a future where fashion and sustainability coexist seamlessly.

At Adhere To, we believe that true luxury isn’t about exclusivity; it’s about making a positive impact. That’s why we’re dedicated to crafting outerwear that’s not only made to perform but is also made with purpose.

BRAND

When building an outerwear brand, we wanted to do our part in ensuring we create garments through sustainable methods. We've ensured all our synthetic fabrics are 100% recycled, our water repellency treatments are all PFAS-Free DWR- all from certified suppliers.

We design garments thoughtfully and made to last. We don’t season seasonally but rather weather/temperate oriented. Our collection is made from lightweight rain protection to heavy weight cold protection.

We've ensured all our synthetic fabrics are 100% recycled and our water repellency treatments are all BIONIC-FINISH® ECO PFAS-Free DWR- all from certified suppliers. We use mono-fibered material for easier end of life recycling many years down the road. We continue to build designs focused on circularity.

We built out a supply chain of ethical and responsible vendors. We chose high quality materials paired with premium construction so your jacket will last season, after season. We create small batches of each style, to avoid over-production and overstock. Every item is designed with a purpose and function.

We limit our number of suppliers to ensure responsible tracing. We work directly with each supplier- this allows us to ensure each of our suppliers are certified in ethical and sustainable practices.

For packaging, each of our garments are shipped in 100% recycled and recyclable paper mailer, with recycled and recyclable tissue paper.

MATERIALS

All our fabrics have a purpose. They have been designed with functionality and created out of 100% recycled fibres. We avoid using mixed fibre fabrics, so at the end of the garment life cycle, the fabric can be recycled and reused again.

1 LAYER

All of our 1 layer fabrics (found in our down jackets) are all 100% recycled, with PFC-Free DWR, making our jackets water-repellent.

3 LAYER

Our waterproof jackets are made out of 3 layer fabric. This fabric is high performance with a waterproof and windproof rating of 10k/15k. Made with a 100% recycled face, 100% recycled backer and a bio-based membrane.

All of our products are made with YKK Natulon® recycled tape zippers and recycled trims. Our trim suppliers are all Bluesign® approved.

Our GRS certified down is 100% recycled, renewed and regenerated from donated items.

Re:Down uses the most environmental friendly methods to regenerate down and feathers. There are no chemicals used in the process of regenerating the down. The down is sterilized by high temperatures.

Because they only choose the best feathers to reuse, any broken feathers and down fibres unused are changed into an organic fertilizer. The fabric shells are chopped into small pieces and created into non-woven insulations. They recycle 97% of all the goods collected. Currently Re-Down's facility uses 30% solar power to operate- going on 70%!

SUPPLIERS

We took our time to strategically define our supply chain, ensuring each item used is traceable and certified with social and environmental certifications such as:

Bluesign®Higg IndexGRS (Global Recycled Standard), OEKO-TEX®. Our garments are made in Vietnam at our WRAP (World Responsible Accredited Production®) certified vendors.

Outerwear has a lot of components, making it particularly complex and challenging to ensure the best ethical and sustainable options are used. By ensuring every trim in our garments are certified with above certifications help create a standard we can trust. Additionally, we source every item on our own from the direct source where is it made- so there are no third-party involvements that we cannot trace.

We minimize the number of suppliers and ensure we can source multiple items from one vendor to reduce our footprint. Currently we use a total of 6 suppliers for all the materials on our jackets (this is not bad considering one jacket has up to 30 different components in it!).

Our garments are made in Vietnam at our WRAP (World Responsible Accredited Production®) certified vendor. WRAP certification is recognized around the world as proof of social compliance in the apparel industry. This is focused on labor rights, health and safety of workers, and environmental practices within the facility. We produce a small bulk run to ensure minimal waste.
